As part of our exciting Science Week, our KS1 class had an unforgettable trip to the Birmingham Think Tank!
From the moment we arrived, curiosity was buzzing! We kicked things off in the Science Garden, where the children explored giant hands-on experiments – spinning wheels, pulleys, and pumps galore!
Next stop: MiniBrum – a child-sized city packed with imagination! The children became builders, shopkeepers, chefs and more, learning through play and making sense of the world around them in the most exciting way possible.
Our highlight of the day was the Animals and Wildlife Workshop. We were fascinated by real taxidermy animals, peered closely at fossils, and examined skeletons preserved in resin. There were lots of “wow!” moments as we learned all about creatures from the past and present.
The children had a fantastic time and haven’t stopped talking about it since. A brilliant way to celebrate Science Week – full of discovery, wonder, and fun!
